STAGE 2: Company Renaming

Company naming is a foundational aspect of your company’s overall brand identity that will allow you to build strong brand recognition and gain long-term, brand-loyal customers.

Naming is the seed of your brand. All other aspects of your company branding are expressions of that name. Naming sets the tone for both your company’s short-term appeal and long-term credibility in the marketplace. It can differentiate your company from what would otherwise be just another shop or widget, and uniquely position you in a competitive and overcrowded industry.

The right corporate naming strategy involves not only choosing something that rolls off the tongue and is catchy and memorable. It must also reach deep into the emotional heart of your market and connect in ways that your competitors don’t. There’s power in a good name. In just one word or maybe two or three, a brand image can be clearly communicated to the market and motivate consumers to engage in the brand and become loyal customers.
