Fine artist and good friend Donald Yatomi approached Kinetic to turn his personal signature used on all of his paintings into a formal logo. The process of turning a signature into a logo seems easy, but much is involved in designing a good and memorable logo. Kinetic Branding digitized Donald Yatomi's signature into vector format to allow infinite scaling, a standard process in logo design. The original signature was in a longer and horizontal format. Kinetic and Donald collaborated to modify the mark and position it inside a red circle. Kinetic used a simple and clean typeface, Helvetica Neue Condensed, to contrast the textured brush stroke logo mark and give it more focus. Donald Yatomi made a stamp and stencil out of his new logo (below). Comments are closed.
